海角社区官网could experience the city’s coldest听late May temperatures this week in since 1967.
Using data from the Pearson Airport latest weather update, Environment Canada meteorologist Barbara Lapido said the average maximum temperatures from May 21 to May 23 are expected to be 12.3 C, the coldest on those dates in 58 years. The average maximum temperature on May 21 to May 23 in 1967 was 11.6.
鈥淚t might not be a record because now the new forecast is a little bit higher,鈥 Lapido said. 鈥(But) we haven鈥檛 had this maximum temperature average since 1967.鈥

Typically, the average temperature on May 20 is a maximum of 20 C. The temperature on Tuesday is expected to hit reach a high of 16 C and a low of 9 C.
Thursday is expected to have a high of 10 C, close to the previous record set for lowest daytime high recorded at Pearson Airport in late May. It was a top temperature of 9.4 C on May 20, 1967 according to Geoff Coulson, a meteorologist with Environment Canada.
In addition to the chilly temperatures, the city is bracing for even more rain this week. Here’s what you need to know about the forecast for this week.

Tuesday started the听work week off warm after Victoria Day with a sunny high of听14 C and 24 km/h winds throughout the day.
Clouds rolled in Tuesday night, with similar wind conditions as earlier in the day and a low of 9 C.
Wednesday will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of rain beginning around noon and a high of 13 C. Winds blowing at 30 km/h will gust to 50 km/h. At night, more showers are expected with a low of 9 C. Total rainfall for Wednesday could range from 15 to 30听millimetres.

Thursday will see showers and a high of 10 C during the day and a low of 8 C, with听a chance of rain at night.
Friday will be slightly warmer with a high of 11 C and a chance of showers during the day, plus a low of 8 C and clouds听at night.
Heading into the weekend, the sun will peek through on Saturday with a high of 15 C during the day and clear skies with a low of 6 C听at night.
Sunday will be听sunny, with a daytime high of 18 C and a cloudy nighttime low of 8 C.
