A tip from the public helped lead to arrest of five teens after Halton police say thieves armed with hammers stole from an Oakville camera store last Friday.
According to police, 鈥渕ultiple鈥 people with hammers smashed display cases and stole merchandise from a Henry鈥檚 camera store on 聽May 16.
Five males were swiftly arrested and charged following a camera store robbery in Oakville. Thank you to members of the public who called 9-1-1 to report their concerns. Press release here:

The suspects fled the store around 1:30 p.m. in a white Acura 鈥 which Halton police say was later determined to be stolen from 海角社区官网鈥 last seen being driven eastbound on .

Minutes later, 鈥渁 vigilant member of the public鈥 called 911 after noticing people running from a vehicle that had broken down near and , say police.
Officers 鈥渇looded the area鈥 and arrested five suspects.
Three suspects from North York 鈥 18, 17 and 17 鈥 as well as a 17- and 18-year-old from 海角社区官网have been charged.
They all face single counts of robbery and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The 17-year-old accused from 海角社区官网was also charged with possession of an automobile master key.
