Two people are fighting for their lives and two others were also injured after multiple pedestrians were hit by the driver of a vehicle in North York Sunday afternoon.
º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøpolice say a blue Volvo veered off the road and onto the sidewalk hitting three pedestrians at the intersection of just before 3:25 p.m.
All three victims were rushed to hospital and two, a man and woman both in their mid 20s to early 30s, are in critical condition, Duty Senior Officer, Insp. Dan Pravic told reporters at the scene. The third pedestrian, a woman also in her mid 20s to early 30s, is in hospital but stable.

The driver, in his 70s, stayed on-scene but was then sent to hospital with injuries that did not threaten his life, Pravic said, noting that it is very early in their investigation.
Pravic said the collision was not targeted or intentional but they do not know if he will face charges.
”(investigators) will look at if it’s a mechanical issue, if it’s an age issue or anything else, or the weather,” Pravic said. “I don’t want to speculate.”
Officers have shut down Yonge Street between Northtown Way and McKee Avenue, Churchill Avenue from Canterbury Plaza and Yonge Street and Church Ave between Yonge Street and Doris Avenue.Â
