Soccer fans in Canada should prepare themselves to battle for FIFA World Cup tickets as the first batch of sales has begun.Â
The first phase of tickets for the 2026 games that will hit º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøsoil for six matches opened Wednesday at 11 a.m.Â
The games will be played at an upgraded BMO Field, but fans can also get the chance to watch their favourite sport in other cities, including Vancouver and across the U.S. and Mexico.Â
Here’s what you need to know to get tickets as the World Cup inches closer.Â

How do I buy FIFA World Cup tickets?
Fans can now enter a lottery system through the Visa Presale Draw running until Sept. 19 at 11 a.m.Â
To enter for a , fans have to be 18 or older, create a FIFA ID and be a Visa card holder. Successful winners of a random draw and will receive an email starting Sept. 29 with a date and time slot to buy tickets for as long as they’re available. Winning a time slot does not guarantee tickets.
Single-match tickets, venue-specific and team-specific tickets will be available for purchase when ticket sales begin.
When does the next ticketing phase open?
After the initial Visa presale, two more phases of ticket opportunities will start in late October through the final game in July 2026.Â
Registration for the second phase of the ticket draw begin Oct. 27 to 31, and fans can purchase time slots from mid-November to early December. Those wishing to see a game are expected to apply to the draw first before the random selection process. Similar to the first phase, successful applicants will win a time slot to have a chance for tickets.Â
Registration for the third phase will begin shortly after the Dec. 5 tournament draw which will be the final draw for the 2026 games. During this phase, fans will be allowed to apply for specific matches after the final group-stage match draw.Â
Remaining tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis closer to the tournament.Â

How much will tickets cost?
Ticket prices will be grouped into four price categories, starting at $60 (USD) for group-stage matches with the highest tier of tickets costing $6,730 USD for the championship game played at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.Â
Dynamic pricing may apply depending on demand.Â
Can I resell my tickets?Â
Fans who’ve changed their mind or found a more suitable ticket package may resell their ticket on an official resale platform that FIFA is planning to launch.Â
Only eligible ticket-holders can resell tickets on the platform.Â
When is the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming to Canada?
The first of six matches for the 2026 FIFA games in º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøwill kick off on June 12, 2026, marking the first ever men’s FIFA World Cup game to be played in the country, featuring Canada’s men’s national team. The city will also host a round of 32 match on July 2, 2026.
The games are also coming to Vancouver, with seven matches played at BC Place.Â
