Blue Jays playoff standings: º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøwidens lead over Detroit but Tigers have a much bigger concern

Tigers ace Tarik Skubal left the game grabbing his left side after throwing only 46 pitches in Detroit’s 8-2 loss to Miami.

Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal gave up a home run and a double in the the second inning against the Miami Marlins on Friday. He later left in the fourth with tightness in his side. 


The º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøBlue Jays maintained their three-game lead in the American League East standings over the New York Yankees at the end of play Friday. The Tigers lost 8-2 to the Marlins and gave up ground on the Jays in the race for the league’s best record.

But the biggest pennant race news of the night revolves around Tigers ace Tarik Skubal, who left his game against Miami after throwing only 46 pitches. The Cy Young favourite gave up four runs and four hits before he was removed in the bottom of the fourth inning while grabbing his left side.
