York Regional Police are asking for the public’s help after a man apparently set an SUV on fire in Vaughan, as captured by surveillance video.
Police say the incident happened just before 7 a.m. Wednesday in the Forest Heights Boulevard and Highway 27 area. The fire was put out quickly and no injuries were reported.
The fire was quickly extinguished before it could spread. No injuries were reported.
 Investigators say the video shows a man getting out of a 2022 grey Honda Civic with Ontario licence plate DFEA247, pouring an apparent accelerant on the other vehicle and setting it ablaze. They say the suspect later returned to the shot a gun repeatedly into the SUV before fleeing.

The suspect is described as about five-foot-10, wearing black jogging pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, black running shoes with white soles and grey gloves.
