A man in his 40s was shot multiple times and was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, paramedics said.

The shooting appears to be an “isolated” incident, police told the Star, adding there isn’t currently a suspect description.
The investigation is underway, and officers are exploring “all possible avenues,” officials added.
By Tuesday afternoon,听investigators听丑补诲听cordoned off听Tranmere Drive and Telford Way with police tape. In a parking lot on the southwest corner of the intersection, a black Ram pickup truck was surrounded by evidence markers.

Speaking to reporters at the scene on Wednesday afternoon, Peel police Const. Michelle Stafford said she can see how bullets flying in broad daylight would be 鈥渧ery concerning鈥 to local residents but said the investigation is in its 鈥渆arly stages.鈥

Stafford said she couldn鈥檛 give information about why the victim was in the parking lot at the time of the shooting.
