a 42-year-old man in Brampton with a history of dangerous driving who is now facing 11 new driving-related charges, including nine counts of operation while prohibited.
Officers said a man was pulled over on Aug. 28 during a traffic stop near . Police discovered he had a suspended driver鈥檚 licence at the time and was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle.
Investigators said the man has previous convictions for impaired driving, fleeing police, and failing to stop at accident scenes.

Deputy Chief Marc Andrews highlighted the role of Peel鈥檚 Safer Roads Team, which was formed in 2021 to target repeat and high-risk drivers.
鈥淐ases like this show just how critical our Safer Roads Team is. Every day, our officers dedicate their time to identifying dangerous drivers and repeat offenders, working to remove them from our roads. Their enforcement efforts are instrumental in keeping our communities safe,鈥 Andrews said.
The vehicle pulled over Aug. 28 was ordered impounded for 45 days. The man appeared for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
