I鈥檓 a single mom of two and a full-time wheelchair user after experiencing a spinal cord injury at the age of 17. I’ve spent the past almost 20 years pushing back on social norms and trying to change the stigma that is associated with disability. I am a fierce advocate for my community but I’m also a certified silly goose who enjoys long car rides, deep conversation and making everything an adventure.

As a partner, I consider myself to be very open-minded, having grown up as part of a minority community for half my life. I’m attentive and nurturing, always willing to be a team player and pick up the slack however I can. I truly believe that the key to success in any relationship is communication. Teamwork makes the dream work!

In my free time, I love writing, exploring new music and finding cool spots in the city (bonus if they have live music or comedy). At home, I enjoy binge-watching true crime documentaries, and finding new recipes to try.听I鈥檓 a bit of a night owl, a lover of random trivia and someone who can find humour even in the chaos. Life hasn鈥檛 always been easy, but I bring resilience, compassion, and a sense of fun to everything I do.听

Navigating inaccessibility in the world can be challenging and it’s not usually something that most people think about until it affects them personally. There is quite a bit of learning that goes into dating someone with a disability like mine, but if you have the patience and willingness to learn, I’m a great teacher.

I鈥檝e been married twice, and single for the past three years. It has given me the freedom and ability to stabilize things for my children, but ultimately I think life is more fun with a partner!

I鈥檇 love someone who is OK with smoking weed together from time to time, but cigarette smokers and heavy drinkers are a deal-breaker for me, though.

Why I鈥檓 doing it this way

Hitting it off with someone and talking the whole night away would be such a dream. Feeling safe in my relationship is incredibly important to me. Physical touch is my love language but I am so opposed to the idea of casual connections. I’m truly a hopeless romantic at heart and would love to find a partner but I’m not willing to subject myself to dating apps anymore!
