‘Out of control’: Thornhill residents say aggressive coyotes are roaming the streets, as Vaughan looks to º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøfor solutions

Vaughan residents are urging city officials to take action after a growing number of incidents in the region, particularly in Thornhill, where small dogs and children have been attacked by problem coyotes.

Alison Posen says she’s “petrified” to walk her two small dogs after a string of coyote attacks have terrorized Thornhill residents. 

She has lived in the area for 18 years and says she sees coyotes “all the time” in the last five years. The increased presence of problem coyotes has caused heightened fear and anxiety among Vaughan residents, especially with reports of incidents involving pets being attacked and children approached in broad daylight.
