Three men have been arrested and a dog was found 鈥渋n need of protection鈥 in connection聽with a Peel police auto-theft investigation.
Officers responded to two vehicles thefts on Sunday and Monday after a pair of 2025 Honda CRVs were stolen in Mississauga.
On Wednesday, investigators found one of the stolen vehicles at an auto repair shop near聽 in Brampton and seized additional vehicles with a combined value of $100,000, police said in a news release.聽

Alongside the vehicles and the dog,聽officers found evidence of tampering with vehicle identification numbers, and stolen licence plates and key fobs after executing a search warrant at the shop.
The dog found at the auto shop is now in the care of Brampton Animal Services.

Investigators allege the repair shop has been involved in staged collisions that led to information sharing with vehicle insurance companies, police said in the news release.聽
Three men in their early 20s were arrested and each charged with eight offences including four counts of possession of property obtained by crime. They were held pending a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
