A 32-year-old woman has died after a hit-and-run in Scarborough Friday night.
The incident occurred just after 9 p.m. in the Bridlewood Boulevard and Sheppard Avenue East area, said TPS Duty Insp. Brian Maslowski.
Although paramedics and passersby rushed to help the woman after she was struck, she died at the scene, according to Maslowski.Â
The driver fled in their vehicle, described as a black compact car with windshield or hood damage, Maslowski said, adding it was “highly improbable” the driver did not know they struck the woman.Â

“If you are the driver of that motor vehicle, get a lawyer and turn yourself in,” Maslowski told reporters.
The collision shut down Sheppard Avenue East, between Pharmacy and Warden avenues. The delays are expected to last several hours, stretching into early Saturday morning, according to Maslowski.Â
Investigators are on scene looking for any footage in the area. They’ve asked witnesses to contact them at (416)-808-1900.
