88-year-old man riding e-bike dies after being hit by two drivers in Whitby

The man died in hospital Thursday, two weeks after the collision on Lake Ridge Road North, near Taunton Road.

Durham police are still looking for witnesses who saw an 88-year-old e-bike rider get hit by two cars on May 2 in Whitby.Ìý


An 88-year-old e-bike rider died Thursday after he was struck by two cars in Whitby earlier this month, Durham police said.

The man, riding an enclosed e-bike,Ìýwas going south on when he was first hit by the driver of a Jeep Wrangler around 10 a.m. on May 2. The impact knocked the man and the e-bike across the centre line of the intersection where heÌýwas then struck by the driver of a Hyundai Velostar, according to officers.Ìý
