A fire that “completely destroyed” a Scarborough house and caused its roof to collapse was still being monitored more than 12 hours after the blaze broke out Thursday morning.Â
º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøfire crews responded to a two-alarm residential fire on Shaneen Boulevard, northeast of , around 3 a.m.
Firefighters found a house “completely engulfed in flames” and quickly surrounded the bungalow to extinguish the blaze, º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøFire Services said.Â

The fire caused the building’s roof to cave in and left the house “completely destroyed,” º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøfire added.
At the scene, firefighters were told that there were no occupants in the home, but added no one has yet searched the property because of the fragile state of the building.
Crews were still at the scene after 5:30 p.m. conducting a fire watch to ensure the home doesn’t reignite and there are no remaining hot spots on the property. º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøHydro and other services were also called to make sure utilities were all shut off.
