Cyclist struck and killed in East Gwillimbury crash; York police seek witnesses

The driver remained at the scene of the collision which occurred around 12:50 a.m. on Hwy. 11 near Morning Sideroad.

“The driver stayed behind and was cooperative, there wasn’t a fail to remain scenario,” Staff Sgt. Mike McKeraghan said Sunday morning.


A vehicle struck and killed a male cyclist early Sunday in East Gwillimbury, north of Newmarket, .

A collision occurred around 12:50 a.m. on Hwy. 11 near Morning Sideroad. A portion of Hwy. 11 was closed during the night for the investigation but had reopened by 9 a.m.
