This TV comedy makes menopause funny — but its creators are dead serious about tackling the stigma attached to it

Meredith MacNeill and her friend Jennifer Whalen were together writing their new TV comedy about two menopausal women when MacNeill felt the prickling, burning sensation of her first hot flash.

“I was like, ‘Jen Jen, I think it’s happening!’” MacNeill recalled. “I remember I took off my shirt. I was like, ‘Look, look, I’m sweating through my bra!’”
