As former UN climate change envoy, it might seem odd that Prime Minister Mark Carney would embrace fossil fuel projects, writes David Olive. Yet, Ottawa is expected to give favourable consideration to more LNG plants and at least one crude oil pipeline.

Canada is poised to join the ranks of the world鈥檚 largest exporters of liquified natural gas (LNG).

As recently as June, when B.C.鈥檚 LNG Canada went on-stream, Canada exported no LNG.
