TORONTO - Canada’s main stock index was up more than 150 points, helped by gains in base metal and financial stocks, while U.S. markets also rose.

TORONTO - Canada’s main stock index was up more than 150 points, helped by gains in base metal and financial stocks, while U.S. markets also rose.

The S&P/TSX composite index was up 151.19 points at 29,604.72.
