DALLAS (AP) 鈥 What exactly motivated a shooter who authorities say opened fire on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas, killing one detainee and wounding two others before taking his own life, remained unclear Thursday.

The man suspected of firing a rifle from a nearby rooftop into a transport van Wednesday was identified as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn by a law enforcement official who could not publicly disclose details of the investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
