have been arrested after a distraction theft over the weekend left an elderly victim without her jewelry in the city’s north end.
Investigators allege that on Sept. 20, a man and a woman approached the victim while she was sitting in front of her home near
Police say the woman struck up a conversation with the victim before distracting her and stealing her jewelry, then fleeing with the male suspect.

Both suspects are charged with theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and participation in a criminal organization. The man is also facing a charge of driving without plates.
They are scheduled to appear in court at the º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøRegional Bail Centre later this week.
