Crown drops criminal charge for final Giller Prize protester

A group of individuals disrupted the 2023 Giller Prize gala ceremony to protest ties between the Giller Prize’s now-former lead sponsor, Scotiabank, and an Israeli arms manufacturer.


A º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøwoman charged with mischief after allegedly disrupting the 2023 Giller Prize gala ceremony has had her case withdrawn by crown prosecutors.

Court documents obtained by the º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøStar confirm the case was dropped last Thursday, more than two years after the event.
