Toyota recalls over 70,000 vehicles in Canada due to instrument panel safety issue

The instrument panel display may not be visible at startup in certain models, increasing the risk of a crash.

Only vehicles with a 12.3-inch display are affected by this latest recall, Toyota said. 


Toyota is recalling more than 70,000 vehicles in Canada over a safety issue related to their display panels. 

A software problem may cause the combination meter in the instrument panel to not display when the vehicle is started in certain models, Transport Canada said in updated Thursday.
