The brief reel shows the musician dancing with two others聽in a newspaper-lined room cut with grainy footage of a driving car while Xav raps the words to “Back Me Up” over a beat produced by聽, a 16-year-old from Ottawa and who runs a studio in the nation’s capital.聽
Xavier launched his R&B career this past February with his debut single “Til the Nights Done” before he released a second in March titled “Everything I Know.”
