Fugitive Canadian mobster and killer Rabih (Robby) Alkhalil is in custody in Qatar, three years after escaping from a maximum security jail in British Columbia.

Authorities in Canada say they’re working with Interpol and other agencies to bring Alkhalil back to Canada, where he has been on a national list of most wanted fugitives.
“Through their exceptional diligence, investigators ensured the apprehension of a dangerous fugitive who might otherwise still be outstanding today,” chief officer Manny Mann with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit said in a statement.

He was arrested this month overseas under an alias, the joint police announcement said.
He is considered a senior member of the Wolfpack Alliance, a multi-ethnic crime group, linked by the internet.
He was convicted of first degree murder for his role in the June 2012 murder of John Raposo on the patio of a College Street restaurant in Toronto, where he was watching a World Cup soccer game on TV.
He escaped custody in B.C. on July 21, 2022, when two men posing as contractors helped him leave custody, dressed as contractors.
Earlier this month, police investigating the jail escape announced charges against three people accused of helping him.
Charged are Edward Ayoub and John Potvin, both of Ottawa, and Ryan Van Gool of Harrison Hot Springs, B.C.
