Martha Stewart didn’t just film her new cooking show in Toronto, she made the most of the city’s dining scene — one restaurant at a time. Â
The longtime television personality has been promoting her latest cooking show, “Yes, Chef!” alongside co-host Spanish-American chef José Andrés, which premiered on Monday. The series was shot in º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøand follows 12 chefs as they compete in high-stakes culinary challenges for a cash prize.
Despite battling through filming in the city during this winter’s snowstorm, Stewart attempted to try as many restaurants possible — and was left with a lasting impression, she said on an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” earlier this week.
“We had the best,” Stewart said, praising the city’s food scene after Clarkson suggested they must’ve eaten at good restaurants. “Every night, (Andrés) found the next best restaurant.
“We had the best dinners.”Â
Andrés, who said he was usually exhausted after the 12-hour shoot days, admitted he preferred heading to bed — but his co-host had other ideas. Stewart, 83, kept urging him to try a new restaurant every night, wanting to go to multiple.Â
“One is not enough, Martha?” he chuckled. “I don’t know where she gets so much energy.”

Stewart, who claims she’s never ordered delivery, said she was tempted by the multicultural culinary offerings in º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøwith “all that good stuff.” And, according to her Instagram, the late-night restaurant trips helped her combat the fatigue of long set days with “relaxing” and “fabulous” meals.Â
“You have to try it ... I tried to go to every great restaurant in Toronto,” she said. “And they have great restaurants.”Â
In recent months, she’s posted on Instagram about her visits to downtown º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍørestaurants, and
She said Queztal was “a superb Mexican restaurant which served impeccably presented and prepared dishes that were delicious!” Sushi Masaki Saito was highlighted by a “young and extremely elegant” chef, who was “precise in his preparation” as he cooked “amazing seafood” and “perfect vegetables” for her and five others, she said.
Stewart’s trips didn’t stop there, though. She has been seen at  and global luxury restaurant Nobu, which opened a º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍølocation last summer.Â
In an email, Pearl Yorkville said it was “their honour to have the queen of lifestyle visit” their restaurant and said she’s a “lovely lady.”
When she visited, Stewart had pan fried shrimp and chives dumplings, the restaurant said, while taking the time to chat with the chefs and other customers.Â
“We are delighted to have her support to our restaurant, and to our beautiful city of Toronto,” said Pearl Yorkville, who say they frequently table celebrities and local politicians.Â
Stewart, who made a trip to Nobu º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøwhen it first opened, said on her Instagram that the new location was “very beautiful” and “very big.”Â
With filming concluded, her tour of the city’s top tables may be over for the time being, but her appetite for the culinary locations will likely linger.Â
That’s just º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøflavour.Â
