Fans brave the rain to watch AFC Toronto’s first York Lions Stadium home date against the Calgary Wild on Thursday night.


AFC Toronto striker Esther Okoronkwo arched a powerful shot from the left side, just outside the penalty box, into the upper corner of the net past the outstretched arm of Calgary Wild FC goalkeeper Stephanie Bukovec.

The 28-year-old Nigeria international then ran straight into the open arms of head coach Marko Milanovic for a celebration that had been a long time coming.
