The big number

$77,000

the approximate monthly cost to store pieces of 59 modular homes intended for 175 Cummer Ave. in Willowdale as the long-delayed project waits for necessary approvals, according to local councillor Lily Cheng.

The 350-square-foot studio apartments were to be built using a modular process, prefabricated in pieces in a factory and then shipped to the site and assembled. Think of it like a life-size Lego set.
