º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøpolice have arrested a Burlington woman in connection with a fraudulent ticket scam involving Taylor Swift tickets.Â
According to police, 28 victims paid for fraudulent tickets with a value of more than $70,000, from a suspect offering º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøtickets on Facebook Marketplace.Â
The suspect, using the alia “Denise Blackhawk,” provided various dates, seats, and locations for the concerts, police said, adding that victims would send e-transfers making full payments of the tickets once a price was agreed upon. Some of the tickets were purchased in August 2023, when concert tickets first became available.Â

Police say victims were told tickets would become available a few days before their concert date only to find out they were never transferred to their accounts. Once victims realized and asked for their money back, the suspect would claim the money was gone.Â
An investigation was launched earlier this month after Halton police received of fraudulent tickets, all involving the same vendor.
A Burlington woman has been arrested and charged with more than 60 crimes including 32 counts of possession of property obtained by crime and 32 counts of fraud.
º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøpolice believe there may be more victims and continue to work with Halton Regional Police on this ongoing investigation.
