The cyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, paramedics and police said.

Several roads were partially shut down following the collision including westbound lanes of College Street at Huron Street, the eastbound lanes of College Street at Robert Street, the northbound lanes of Spadina Avenue at Cecil Street and the southbound lanes of Spadina Avenue at Spadina Crescent.
