Earlier this week, Kendrick Lamar鈥s new album “GNX” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard chart, his fourth consecutive studio album to do so.聽
To celebrate, the Los Angeles rapper has announced a North American stadium tour alongside singer SZA, which includes a stop at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on June 12.
Presale for the event takes place Wednesday with the
“GNX,” which was surprise released in late November, features SZA on several songs. The two artists were formerly labelmates on Top Dawg Entertainment.
Lamar, 37, has experienced massive success since his debut album 鈥済ood kid, m.A.A.d city鈥 in 2012. Since then, he鈥檚 accumulated 17 Grammy wins and became the first non-classical, non-jazz musician to win a Pulitzer Prize for his 2017 album 鈥淒AMN.鈥
Earlier this year, Lamar scored another hit with 鈥淣ot Like Us,鈥 a track emanating from his feud with Drake. The song, a brutal diss against the 海角社区官网rapper, went No. 1 on the charts and became one of the biggest hip-hop songs of the year. The song鈥檚 success effectively ended the feud, with most observers declaring Lamar as the obvious victor.
